Guitar and baglama are the most common instruments that are widely played in Turkey. Unlike the projects that are baglama is used as a soloist
and guitar is used accompanist without the ornaments and microtones which are crucial for Anatolian Folk Music, on this project both
instruments are used as a soloist and it has magnificent and hybrid improvisations and arrangements for the folk songs those combines east and west. Hemdem means contemporary and taking breath at the same time. Their videos have been watched 100k times in a few months and first album has been released in Jan 2018 under the label of Ahenk Music. In that live-recorded album, which includes Anatolian Folk Songs and
their own compositions, was in the top of the best-selling folk music albums at the week when it released. Music critics wrote good reviews
(Songlines, All About Jazz, Folker, World Music Central) about this album and it was broadcasted on Los Angeles KPFK Radio, Japanese JWave
Radio, Greece Planet Radio, Spanish Uni Radio, Turkish Acik Radio, Luxembourg Ara Radio, and Australian PBS Radio. "Hemdem" has entered to the Transglobal World Music Chart March 2018 list at number 18th of 40.
